Materials
Cups
Food-grade board, rolled and rimmed so it holds its shape when the tea is hot. What lines the inside decides whether a cup composts or not, so the lining is printed on the pack instead of left to your guesswork.
Plates
What is left of sugarcane once the juice has been pressed out. Stiff enough to hold gravy, needs no plastic lining to do it, and goes back to the soil on its own.
Our claims policy
We make claims per pack, not per brand.
The range is mixed. Some items are bagasse, some are paper board, and the two do not break down the same way. So a word like compostable is printed only on the packs where it is true, against a certificate we can show you. If a claim is not on the pack, we are not making it.
